Sendora vs Klaviyo

Klaviyo or Sendora — pick the trade-off, not the marketing.

Klaviyo dominates Shopify-style D2C lifecycle. Outside that lane it gets thin. Sendora delivers the same audience-targeted email + SMS + push lifecycle for any product (SaaS, fintech, consumer apps, marketplaces) AND bundles Auth + Support + KB + Analytics + Attribution in the same tenant. For mid-market commerce brands not all-in on Shopify it's a clear unlock.

Klaviyo

E-commerce email + SMS marketing. Tightly Shopify-bound; needs separate tools for analytics, support, audiences beyond commerce events.

Sendora

E-commerce-grade lifecycle messaging that's not Shopify-bound — works for any product and bundles the rest of the stack.

Why teams switch to Sendora

  • Your product isn't pure Shopify D2C — Klaviyo's depth doesn't apply, its price still does.
  • Cross-channel lifecycle (Push + Email + SMS + In-App) routed by ONE audience source, not Klaviyo-Audiences + a separate CDP.
  • Identity + Support + KB in the same tenant as messaging — Klaviyo doesn't ship these.

When Klaviyo is the right call

  • You're pure Shopify D2C and Klaviyo's marketplace integrations (Reviews, Loyalty, Subscriptions) carry your stack.
  • Your team has years of Klaviyo flows + templates that don't port cheaply.

Common questions

I'm pure Shopify D2C. Does Sendora work for me?

It works, but Klaviyo's Shopify integration depth is years ahead. If Shopify event ingest is load-bearing, plan for a webhook bridge — or stay on Klaviyo standalone for the commerce-specific surface and use Sendora for everything else.

Do Klaviyo Flows port to Sendora Automation?

Yes, with Liquid template port + similar trigger semantics. Klaviyo's predictive analytics (Predicted CLV, Churn Risk) become Sendora AI step types.

What about Klaviyo Reviews + Loyalty + Subscriptions add-ons?

These are commerce-specific products that don't port directly. Wire via Sendora Workflows + Webhooks or keep on Klaviyo standalone for those specific surfaces.

Does my sender reputation transfer?

Domain reputation transfers (tied to your DKIM-verified domain). Sender IP pool reputation doesn't — Sendora's 30-day probation pool handles the warmup automatically.

Email

BYOD email with real Resend Domains verification + content scanner + probation + recipient-dedup + Wave 1a consent gate. Same SDK as Push + SMS.

Resend ships transactional, Customer.io ships lifecycle, Mailchimp ships broadcasts — three vendors, three reputations, three audience exports. Sendora collapses senders: one BYOD setup, real Resend Domains verification (not optimistic stubs), DKIM signed by you, recipient-dedup at the dispatch layer (no duplicate sends after a signin), per-org rate limits + 30-day probation pool, signed bounce/complaint webhooks, RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe, opt-in consent enforcement on broadcast + workflow categories (Wave 1a). Honest about audience fan-out: `sendEmail` takes one recipient at a time — audience-driven fan-out happens via Automation workflows or your own iteration, not a single-call audience send.
