Move from Klaviyo to Sendora.
Move flows + segments + templates + BYOD email from Klaviyo to Sendora Automation + Email + SMS.
Step-by-step
- 1
1. Export profiles + lists + segments
Klaviyo Profiles + Lists API export to JSON. Custom Properties become Customer traits. Subscription preferences port to Sendora's preference center.
2 hours - 2
2. Export flows + templates
Klaviyo Flows API + Template API give you JSON + HTML. Map each Flow to a Sendora Automation journey.
Half a day - 3
3. Bulk-import profiles + traits
Data Sync module accepts JSONL profile import with trait mapping + dry-run preview. Suppressed addresses respected.
2 hours - 4
4. Migrate BYOD email setup
Add Sendora's DKIM + SPF + DMARC DNS records alongside Klaviyo's. Resend Domains integration verifies. Probation period applies to new senders — Klaviyo reputation doesn't transfer; warm Sendora's pool gently.
1 hour + DNS propagation - 5
5. Rebuild flows in Sendora Automation
Liquid templates port nearly 1:1. Branching / delays / wait-for-event / audience-triggers all port directly. Klaviyo's predictive analytics (Predicted CLV, Churn Risk) ship as Sendora AI step types.
1 day per major flow - 6
6. Map Klaviyo events to Sendora events
Klaviyo `Placed Order`, `Started Checkout`, etc. become Sendora `commerce.order_placed`, etc. (canonical taxonomy). Existing SDK calls update accordingly.
Half a day - 7
7. Side-by-side test then sunset
Parallel run for 2 weeks. Compare deliverability + engagement in Health module. Cut over once parity holds + cancel Klaviyo.
2 weeks observation
Watch-outs
- Klaviyo Reviews / Subscriptions / Loyalty add-ons don't port — wire via Workflows + Webhooks or keep on Klaviyo standalone.
- Shopify integration depth is years ahead in Klaviyo. If you're pure Shopify D2C, plan for a webhook-bridge between Shopify + Sendora.
- Sendora's probation pool means slower initial volume during warmup — schedule migration during a low-volume period.
BYOD email with real Resend Domains verification + content scanner + probation + recipient-dedup + Wave 1a consent gate. Same SDK as Push + SMS.
Resend ships transactional, Customer.io ships lifecycle, Mailchimp ships broadcasts — three vendors, three reputations, three audience exports. Sendora collapses senders: one BYOD setup, real Resend Domains verification (not optimistic stubs), DKIM signed by you, recipient-dedup at the dispatch layer (no duplicate sends after a signin), per-org rate limits + 30-day probation pool, signed bounce/complaint webhooks, RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe, opt-in consent enforcement on broadcast + workflow categories (Wave 1a). Honest about audience fan-out: `sendEmail` takes one recipient at a time — audience-driven fan-out happens via Automation workflows or your own iteration, not a single-call audience send.
